The recipe for making our cutlets begins with one of the most important stages, which is the selection of the main ingredient, which is fish.

The main selection criterion is fat content - in our case it should be minimal.

The following fish varieties are most suitable for the given parameters:

  • flounder;
  • zander.

It is the above varieties that are distinguished by minimal fat content and make it possible to achieve the lowest calorie content of the finished dish. Next, you need to mix the minced meat with the bread solution and add spices and salt.

To obtain the necessary dietary properties, we will replace the traditional frying procedure with baking. Thanks to this, the fish cutlets in the oven will find their optimal parameters. In this case, baking requires a minimum amount of vegetable oil, which is only necessary to coat the baking sheet.

So, from the resulting mass we form small oblong balls and place them on the frying pan close to each other. Thus, it is necessary to use up the minced meat and fill the entire sheet. In turn, its alternative, which can please even ardent adherents of the idea of ​​losing weight, are steamed fish cutlets. The recipe for their preparation is not much different from the previous version using the oven. However, it still has some features. First of all, they involve the formation of the minced meat itself. To prepare it you will need the following ingredients:

  • fish fillet - 500 g;
  • greens - 1 bunch;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • oat flakes - 50 g;
  • egg - 1 pc.;
  • salt, spices to taste.

As can be seen from the composition of the main components, the minced meat will be fresher and easier to prepare. To create it, we take fish and remove the fillet from it. All bones, fins and skin must be removed and the fillets themselves must be carefully inspected for any remaining such elements. Next, the fish is cut into small cubes and sent to a blender bowl or meat grinder. We also move the greens and peeled carrots there. At the same time, the best varieties of herbs that are used for preparing fish dishes are parsley, dill and basil. Therefore, we will add one of these components to the cutlets, namely dill.

Oatmeal, an egg and a small amount of water will create the same adhesive effect that will prevent the cutlets from falling apart. To achieve it, you need to mix all these components with the resulting minced meat and add spices to the finished mass, as well as add salt. After this, we form small balls of minced meat and begin to heat treat them. Steam fish cutlets should not take more than 15-25 minutes, since this time will be quite enough to obtain optimal characteristics of the dish.
