Lavash casserole with minced meat in the oven. Lavash dishes, in the oven Recipe for lavash casserole with minced meat

Make cross cuts on the tomatoes, pour boiling water over them and leave for 2-3 minutes. Then remove the skin and cut the tomatoes into small pieces (if you want the vegetables to cook faster, you can puree the peeled tomatoes in a blender). Place the tomatoes in the pan with the fried vegetables.

Stirring, fry the tomatoes, onions and carrots over medium heat until the tomatoes give up their juice and it almost evaporates (this will take 6-7 minutes).

Place the minced meat and immediately, very quickly, without stopping, mix it with the vegetables - otherwise the minced meat will “seize” in one big lump.

There is no need to grease the baking dish with oil or cover it with parchment. The size of the pan does not matter: the smaller the pan size, the higher the casserole will be. Line a baking dish with pita bread.

Place a small part of the filling on top and “cover” with pita bread (it can be cut or torn into convenient pieces and placed in any order). Alternate layers until both the filling and the pita bread are finished (the top layer should be pita bread).

In a bowl, combine sour cream, egg and hard cheese, grated on a coarse grater, and mix thoroughly with a fork.

Pour the resulting mixture of sour cream, eggs and cheese over the top of the casserole and place the pan in the preheated oven.

A juicy, tender, satisfying casserole of pita bread with minced meat, cooked in the oven, can be served immediately. If it has cooled down, cut off a piece and heat it in the microwave. This casserole tastes delicious for days.

Bon appetit! Cook with love!

We present to your attention an interesting dish: pita bread casserole with minced chicken breast. They have been incredibly popular lately! Logically this is very simple to explain. They are tasty and, one might say, dietary. Despite the fact that they are made from white flour, they are allowed by many nutritionists even during weight loss.

However, this is not all the advantages of thin pita bread. They are an excellent substitute for dough, i.e. there is no need to knead it. Thanks to this, you will save both your time and your energy.

It’s also very valuable that lavash is an excellent material for experimentation, because on its basis you can come up with a wide variety of baked goods - from pies and chips to snacks in the form of rolls and various casseroles. This recipe is clear proof of that!

Required ingredients for filling:

– 1 chicken breast

How to make lavash casserole with minced meat

Preparing the sauce:

Peel the onion and garlic. Chop randomly with a knife.

Make the pieces approximately the same size.

Heat the pan well first, empty, and then with oil. Add onion and garlic, add salt and freshly ground peppers (you can use any; for example, a good combination is black, pink, white and green). Stir and fry for about five minutes.

Wash the tomatoes and peel them. This is not necessary, but if you want to get a tasty and homogeneous sauce without unnecessary inclusions, then it is better to remove the skin. Cut the tomatoes into cubes and add to the onions and garlic. Mix thoroughly. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add the bay leaf and after a couple of minutes turn off the gas.

While the sauce is infused and cools slightly, make the filling. To do this, peel the onion and chop it with a knife, this time quite finely.

Prepare the minced chicken - remove the skin from the breast, separate the meat from the bone (if you wish, you can buy ready-made breast fillet and use it - it will come out faster, but a little more expensive). Pass the chicken pieces through a meat grinder or use a blender.

Sauté the onion in sunflower oil, then add the cooked minced chicken to it.

Stir and fry for 10-12 minutes, using salt and freshly ground pepper, as with the sauce (but you can experiment and add completely different spices of your choice at this stage).

Once both the filling and sauce are ready, begin assembling the casserole. To do this, grease a small mold (not only the bottom, but also the sides) with oil. Pour half or 2/3 of the sauce into it.

Prepare thin Armenian lavash. If they are small (50 g each), then do not cut them. If they are larger in size and weigh more (for example, 100 g each), then divide them into two parts.

Place the filling on the edge of each pita bread (accordingly, ¼ of the prepared amount).

Carefully roll into a fairly tight roll. Do the same with the other three pita breads. Place the four resulting rolls in the pan and onto the sauce.

Spread the remaining sauce on top.

Wash the parsley (if desired, it can be replaced with other greens - dill, green onions, cilantro) with cool water, dry, remove the stems and chop finely with a knife. Sprinkle the contents of the mold.

Semi-hard cheese (you can use hard, but not soft) cheese on a coarse grater. Spread sauce and herbs on top.

Place the form in an oven preheated to 200’C.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until there is a beautiful cheese crust on top. Then remove, divide into portions and enjoy the wonderful taste of this dish!

How to prepare meat casserole
Let's start with the simplest thing, namely, preparing the filling. To do this, you just need to take a deep bowl, put all the necessary ingredients there and mix them thoroughly until you obtain a homogeneous consistency. That's all! Our filling is ready.

Now let's start preparing the pita rolls themselves. It is necessary to chop the onion and add it to the minced meat. Also, do not forget to add salt and other spices to taste. Mix the minced meat thoroughly and then fry it in a frying pan.

Unroll the sheets of pita bread. On each of them it is necessary to lay out a not very thick layer of pre-prepared minced meat. On top you can place tomatoes cut into slices, coarsely chopped bell peppers, and herbs. You need to carefully roll the rolls, applying a lot of effort to make it tight.

Pre-grease the baking sheet with oil, then place it on it. They should be laid out tightly to each other so that the filling does not flow down. First, sprinkle all the rolls with breadcrumbs, then pour in the filling. If desired, you can also sprinkle the rolls with hard cheese. They should be cooked in the oven at medium temperature until golden brown.

Lavash casserole recipe with photo

Each country boasts its own traditional pastries. There are less famous and common ones, and there are those that, because of their taste, have long left the borders of their countries and become known throughout the world. One of these products is lavash.

What is lavash?

Lavash is a traditional bread in the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus; it is a flatbread made from wheat flour without any sweet additives. This is essentially unleavened bread that goes well with any dish.

Pita bread looks different in different countries. It all depends on the baking method. It can be baked in a tandoor, or it can be fried in a frying pan. Both methods make the flatbread very tasty and aromatic, despite the simplicity of the recipe. Traditional lavash contains only a few ingredients: wheat flour, water and a little salt. After kneading, the dough is rolled out into thin sheets and baked. During frying, the dough bubbles, and golden crusts form in places where it swells.

In countries where lavash has long been used as bread, it is served with vegetable and meat dishes, and even pilaf.

In Armenia, lavash is made thin, but, for example, in Georgia it is thick and fluffy. Italy has its own version of lavash - pita.

You can find both in stores. Both of them are made from wheat flour, but are baked using different technologies. Both types of pita bread are in demand because they can be used as a base for various snacks, casseroles, rolls, and pizza. Lavash casserole leaves room for the housewife's imagination. From one base you can prepare several different tasting dishes. One has only to look at the photo of a lavash casserole and immediately want to cook something appetizing and aromatic.

Calories and nutritional value

Everyone who is losing weight knows that bread is excluded during the diet. It is too high in calories, and you can eat more than a hundred grams of it unnoticed.

Lavash can come to the rescue. It cannot be said that this is a low-calorie product and you can eat it without restrictions, but it contains much fewer calories than regular bread, especially a roll.

Lavash contains from 236 to 274 kcal depending on the type. Armenian is slightly less caloric than Georgian. The bulk of calories come from carbohydrates. Fat in pita bread can contain no more than 1-2 g, since it is not in the recipe, and it is also baked without oil.

It should be remembered that you need to take into account the calorie content of all components in the dish. If so, the calorie content will be completely different and much higher. Most often, casserole is made with the addition of high-calorie foods: cheese, mayonnaise, minced meat.

Despite the fact that the composition is not very rich, lavash contains all the basic vitamins and minerals necessary for a person. There are vitamins B and PP, as well as copper, selenium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, sodium.

It is also indicated for people with stomach diseases, as it has low acidity due to the lack of yeast.

Delicious snacks on a diet

All those losing weight regretfully admit that bread, especially white bread, is prohibited on a diet. For those who cannot give up baked goods at all, but really need to lose weight, there is a way out - thin lavash. You can make rolls with chicken meat, you can make pita bread casserole in the oven, or you can make a low-calorie dessert.

The calorie content of a chicken breast roll is only about 100 kcal. But you can eat a snack with cottage cheese and herbs every day; it is not only tasty, but also healthy. And it couldn’t be easier to do. You just need to mix cottage cheese with herbs and add a little salt. Place the mixture on a sheet of lavash, previously greased with a little sour cream, roll it up and put it in the oven for 25 minutes.

Very suitable for dessert. The well-known dessert is quite high in calories, but one made from lavash is suitable for those losing weight. Fry peeled apples in vegetable oil with cinnamon. Spread a little oil on the pita bread and place the apples on it. Roll up and place in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. After baking, wrap the roll in a towel and leave to cool. After the strudel has cooled, you can serve it with a little powdered sugar.

Lavash casseroles in the oven

It’s very easy to make a light snack from lavash, or you can make a full-fledged aromatic dish that is suitable for both lunch and dinner. This dish is a lavash casserole, with as many recipes as there are housewives who cook it. Both vegetables and meat are suitable for the filling. Delicious casseroles are made with cheese, cottage cheese, minced meat, mushrooms, and tomatoes. You can vary the components.

Meat casserole

In order to prepare a casserole of pita bread with minced meat, you need very simple products that can be found in the refrigerator of every housewife: pita bread, minced meat, onion, tomato, hard cheese, mayonnaise, eggs, herbs, salt and pepper to taste.

Pre-fry 2 small onions with 400 g of minced meat. Then put it on the minced meat, put tomato pieces on top, sprinkle with grated cheese and season with herbs and spices, pour a little mayonnaise for juiciness. Roll the resulting base into a roll and place it in a circle. So make another pita bread and place it next to the first one. The form should be completely filled with rolls. Before putting the casserole to bake, pour it with beaten egg mixed with sour cream. For two eggs you need to take about 200 g of sour cream. Now you can put the casserole in the oven for 20-25 minutes. After it is baked and cooled a little, it can be removed from the mold and served.

The casserole can be supplemented with other ingredients, for example, mushrooms go very well with minced meat. They can be added during the frying process.

Casserole with cheese

Lavash casserole with cheese is very quick to prepare. You only need a few ingredients here: pita bread, cheese (300 g), garlic (2-3 cloves), 3 eggs and milk. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, add garlic to it and mix well. Separately, beat the eggs and mix them with milk. Mix these two mixtures until it looks like dough. The pita bread should be placed in a deep baking tray and the filling should be laid out, covered with a sheet of pita bread, then the filling again. You can make several layers. But the last one must be lavash. Bake for about 15 minutes at 180-200 degrees.

This casserole can be served for breakfast and as a cold snack.

Homemade lavash

Buying bread has become a habit for everyone. Considering that now even chemical mixtures are added to it, some are starting to bake at home. Regular bread and loaf are quite difficult to make; it’s easier to bake lavash.

The recipe is very easy to implement. To do this, you will need only 400 g of flour and 400 ml of water, add salt to taste. Hot water is slowly poured into the flour. It is hot so that the dough becomes elastic. It should be moderately dense so that you can roll it out. The finished dough is divided into equal parts, each is rolled into a pancake and fried in a frying pan until golden brown. Pita breads should be stacked and covered with a towel to prevent them from becoming fragile. Now they can be eaten like bread, or used for pita bread casserole.

You can buy flatbreads, you can bake them yourself, but you should definitely try to make a delicious snack or casserole.
